Job Responsibilities
- Produce detailed drawings of pressure vessels, custom fabrications & custom machine work for customer approval and fabrication
- Review customer specifications and implement requirements into drawings and documentation
- Read and interpret engineering packages/calculations to ensure design package accounts for all requirements
- Interface with production, engineering & sales on a regular basis
- Develop detailed bill of materials for procurement and shop use
- Assist in producing layout documents for pre-processing and cutting of raw materials
- Create detailed drawings for computerized cutting operations
- Support fabrication/machine shop and other departments with guidance related to design and drawings
- Generate documents for quality control, shipping, and other departments
- Manage project files with new documents, revisions, distribution, and archiving
Minimum Requirements
- Training and/or Experience with AutoCAD Mechanical is a requirement
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of dimensioning and drafting standards
- Math, algebra, geometry skills/experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Work to meet multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on time
- Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills
The following are not required, but considered a plus:
- Pressure vessel related experience, especially in fabrication related areas
- Understanding of welding symbols and requirements
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor
- Two-year or four-year degree
