Experience Required
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in machine shop environment
- Experienced with machining parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders
- Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines
- Operate power equipment
- Ability to recognize industrial machine operational issues
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred
- Above average math skills
- Self-starter and motivator
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Works well with others
- Strictly adhere to shop and safety procedures
- Problem sensitivity and problem solving
General Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Walking, prolonged standing, bending, squatting and lifting
- Ability to tolerate hot/cold shop climate
- Ability to work overtime when needed

- Calipers – Dial calipers, Vernier calipers
- Gauges and Inspection Fixtures – Dial indicators, ring gauges, O.D. and I.D. micrometers, telescoping gauges
- Lathes – Engine lathes, vertical turning lathes
- Workshop presses – Arbor presses, radial drill presses
